Parental Leave – Enforcement

Employees have the right to complain to an employment tribunal if their employer unreasonably prevents or attempts to prevent them from taking parental leave. Any employee who takes parental leave is also protected against victimisation, including dismissal, for requesting or taking leave – if you have any problems ask  for help from our Advice Line.

Most Employment Tribunal claims have to be made within 3 months, so act promptly
